Fantastic, unique,  glamour in its purest form. This is my take of the Christian Lacroix  showing at the Paris Fashion Week. The images speak for themselves. It appears that for next season color will survive.

The Fall / Winter  2008/2009 Christian Lacroix collection is filled with very bright colors and great volumes. Silks and highly sensitive materials that contrast with the addition of black leather, starting with long boots. Pret a porter high-quality Fashion Week in Paris is everything I hoped for.

Not sure what to make out of this years Oscar fashions. I have been a fan of Oscar fashion for as far as I can remember..Always waiting with anticipation for the entrance of the Oscar beauties to appear and show the world their most awaited looks. This year, I must say I was a little disappointed..I saw a lot of black and feathers to go with it..Although, we all know black is supposed to be the color of elegance, this year I found it a little depressing.

Penelope Cruz , Jennifer Garner and Hilary Swank, all got the memo..Others like Kathernine Heigl and Anne Hathoway got the other memo..Over all, black, red and white seemed to stand out. A shout of bold colors as if to say “We are here, look at us”, I think the lack of Golden Globe glamour had all the ladies in waiting desperate to show off. We could also see this represented in the bold make-up which is past years has been kept to a minimum..

We all know that Lindsay Lohan has done some crazy things and is a young rebel but some are intentional and well thoughtout!! This is the case this month.

The picture above was taken earlier this month and shows a Lindsay Lohan in the nude. It was all for a good cause, a tribute to Marilyn Monroe for New York Magazine. The photographs were taken by photographer Bert Stern who also shot Marilyn´s 1962 Vogue famous last shoot. Lindsay, attempts to recreate images of an idol in her own way. I must say the pictures are beautiful..What do you think?

The magazine goes on sale Monday and I´m sure will get many buyers..

One of my favorite blogs has to be chicinparis, I follow it religiously and imagine what it would be like to be a chic in paris..for now I´m a chic of the world. Her post about the Paris Haute Couture week was awesome with some great pictures. I specially love the backstage pictures with all the glamorous people.

I think this is one of the most exiting weeks in fashion, Spring fashion is one of my favorites because of all the colors and the newness of a new year. The picture you see is Chanel show, which I´m sure you guessed..Awesome..

I think so far this is my favorite campaign for the Spring. It is so colorful, sensual, glamours, it has it all. Gemma Ward, Lily Donaldson, and Jessica Stam are gorgeous! I wish I could put on a dress like that and just walk around a bit.. Looking forward to seeing more ads like this one, since it seems every year ads are becoming works of art in a competition where there is no end to the fashion luxury.

She has to be the most popular gal today, Carla Bruni has everyone talking. Has she married Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president? So many questions we have still to find out and we might find out and see a little more than we want. DT magazine is hosting an exclusive interview just for Spain where we will be able to see her bareness and telling all..

She sure is a beautiful woman and could soon become the first lady of France. We will have to wait and see, until then we will have to just keep guessing and adoring her sense of sensual style.

John Galliano is like none other, he never ceases to amaze anyone. His new haute couture collection for Spring/Summer 2008 was mind blowing. His uninhibited designs flash through the runway with force. His use of the extreme in everything he does, the bold colors, the raw materials and his flamboyance make for a great show.

He doesn´t hold back and gives away part of himself in every style given. Will be hard to beat.

Passionata lingerie will launch their new image in a fashion show directed by the famed David Lachapelle to be held this Thursday January 24th at the “Crazy Horse” in Paris.
